For Axil Coffee, situated at the commercial end of Bourke St in Melbourne’s CBD, we knew we wanted a different model. This restaurant and cafe needed to facilitate the high-traffic flow of a frenetic city takeaway yet also provide an intimate space for extended breakfast and lunch meetings over a distinguished, seasonal menu.

By paying special attention to lighting and by layering materials to give a modern, geometric feel, we evolved the Axil brand while retaining important elements of previous Axil restaurants.

Axil Bourke St stands as a highly-functioning and exciting space for a more corporate clientele.
